Oh, thanks God! Finally November 13th is come, mean that the new Red Camera officially announced, after the image leaked part by part and part. There are two type of new Red Camera, EPIC and Scarlet, both are Digital Stills and Motion Camera (DSMC) which are designed for extremely high-resolution DSLR and greater-than-HD video camera. The Red EPIC and Red Scarlet cameras support REDCODE RAW format to create still shots and videos.

The Red EPIC offer large scale starting from 5K (5120×2700) and 100FPS along with 30×15mm Mysterium-X sensor and able to work up to 9K (9334×7000). It also provide 50FPS on 56×42mm Monstro sensor. While the Red Scarlet feature 3K (3072×1620) resolution with 2/3-inch Mysterium-X sensor. It able to shoot picture at up to 120FPS video and scale to 6K (6000×4000) using 36×24mm Mysterium Monstro sensor with 30FPS video. The Red EPIC starting price from $28,00-$45,000 will out in Summer 2009, and the Red Scarlet range price $2,500-$$12,00 available in Spring 2009.
