
After we see the leaked specification of Sony A500 two days ago, here is the official features which include the camera that already introduced in May along with the A550 model. Sony A500 and A550 are 24.6-megapixel camera that provide 12.3 and 14.2 megapixel resolution. Both of them using BIONZ processor and make it able for high-speed continuous shooting up to 5fps with optical viewfinder, the A550 able to shoot 7fps in Speed Priority mode.
Another feature highlight worthy of mention is the new Auto High Dynamic Range mode that claims to capture a huge range of shadow and highlight detail by combining two frames shot at different exposures for an improved image.
Battery life boasts come in at 1000 shots for the a500 and 950 for the a550 while the new VG-B50AM Vertical Control Grip accessory holds up to two extra batteries.
Another special features that put in the A500 and A550 camera are quick AF Live View for capture fast-moving action and “SteadyShot INSIDE” technology. Face detection tech along with smile shutter and manual focus check also complete teh Live View mode. The differences, Sony A500 equipped with 3-inch display which support “Clear Photo LCD Plus”, while the Sony A550 has 3-inch 921k dot display with Xtra Fine technology and can be turn into 180-degrees. You can expected both of them out in the stores starting from October.
