Yesterday, Pentax has announced their two new rugged poin-and-shot Optio camera and a new limited edition rugged DSLR camera. The first two rugged point-and-shot cameras are the Optio WG-1 and WG-1 GPS. The WG-1 comes with no GPS system support while the WG-1 GPS already supported with GPS system. And both has made with waterproof system up to 33, shockproof in nature and engineered with a “crushproof” body that tough from up to 220 pounds of pressure. These two new digital compact cameras have a 14MP sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch rear LCD and also integrated face detection technology plus the ability to capture image sub-freezing temperatures including recording a 720p video.

The last Pentax’s camera is the K-5 limited edition. This camera also has a tough design with 16.3MP sensor and a unique shaped grip and also supports by shock-resistant, scratchproof glass surrounding the LCD. All of this new cameras will be shipped start on April. Pentax will send out their mega-sensor DSLR camera this May 2010. Its called the 645D, carry an integrated 40MP Kodak sensor with a SAFOX IX+ autofocus system with produce 11 sensor points and D-FA 645 55mm F2.8 AL lens with equivalent to 43.5mm in the 35 format. Pentax 645D will be equipped by Pentax’s Real Image Engine, Dust Removal II system, glass prism viewfinder and 14-bit A/D converter include a single SD/SDHC memory card and 70 seals body design that resistant to dust, water and low temperatures resistant system. Pentax 645D will be priced at $$9,500 for the body only, while complete with the lens at $1,100 and its already prepare for North America and Japan.

Pentax latest DSLR camera the 645D has just showed off the teaser. Pentax 645D is specified into medium-format digital camera which carry a huge 30MP image sensor. Bad news for you who still got no Pentax collection of K-m series. According to the information this Pentax DSLR series will be discontinued to production. There is no details information about the cause and until now Pentax not yet officially announce this rumor about the discontinuation of K-m production but this entry-level DSLR which brought DA 50-200mmF4-5.6ED telezoom lens could become the most search camera after this.
